The Babies

Playing with Addison

Pat's cousin Suzanne came over with her two girls. Addison is 6 days younger than Ty and Scarlett is two weeks younger than Tatum. It was quite the play date. Usually I can say Ty was wonderful and the play date was great...not this time. Ty was a little naughty and decided to hit, bite and head butt Addison. It wasn't hard enough to make her cry but it was almost enough to make me cry. I tried to put him in timeout and it didn't seem to work. I finally realized that every time I was feeding Tatum, that is when he would be naughty, he just wanted attention from his mama. Then after awhile they played so well together. They loved to jump in Ty's crib and then play on our bed. Addison is such a sweetie, hopefully they will come back to play!

Smile for the camera!

Tots at the Park

Today Ty went to his first play group. It meets every Wed. this month at different parks in town. Ty had a great time. Of course his favorite toys were the balls. It was a perfect opportunity for Ty to work on sharing and taking turns. I especially like the pictures of Ty playing with the pom-pom! He will kill me when he is older for taking those pictures.
Later that day we went to the ball field to see daddy's team win! We met Grandpa Swapp there and of course Ty had grandpa take him to the empty field to play in the infield dirt and run the bases. Poor Grandpa never gets to watch any of the game. When we left the game, Ty was so tired and the dirt covered his hands and licorice was all over his face.

Busy day

Today was a very busy day. We started off by having Cari and Riley come over around 8am. Ty was so excited to see Riley, it had been over a week since they had seen each other. After Ty's nap we went to Storvik park to meet Charlie, Sofia and Alistair and all of the Aunts. Ty loves seeing Charlie and his mommy Emilie. Then Ty went to see his Grandpa Swapp. He loves going over there because he gets spoiled over there! They go outside and pick strawberries, play in grandpa's truck, watch Big Bird and eat lots of good food. He came home and got some good alone time with his mom. Tatum was sleeping and I was able to cuddle with Ty. He finally is back to being a momma's boy because daddy was his baseball game in which they won!

Tummy Time

Every time Tatum has tummy time, Ty has to get down on the blanket with her. He copies her and makes all of the same noises and tries to move like her. It's very cute until he tries to sneak in a little kick.

Hanging out with my cousins

This afternoon we went over to Pat's Aunt Mary's house to visit all of the family. Pat's cousin Leanna is here from Boston with her two kids, Sofia (4) and Alistair (13 months) and Ty's cousin Charlie (13 months) was there too from Seattle. Ty had a great time running around and playing with his cousins and his grandparents. I don't know who was more tired, Ty or "Mamma" or "Bumpa." We tried to get a good picture of the kids, but as you know, it's hard to get one year olds to sit still for very long. Of course, Tatum was just sleeping and avoiding the chaos.

Going for a ride!

Ty got two new riding toys this weekend. He loves them both. He is still working on how to keep his little four wheeler going by holding the button down.

First Blog

Well...this is my first blog. After checking out other blogs of friends, I have decided to do it too. I will have to tell Pat when he gets home from teaching summer school that I have created a family account. I am not sure if he will enjoy this as much as I will.

Ty is going through a little stage right now where he is afraid of things like his bath, any type of water (don't try to get him to go through a sprinkler!), diaper changes and all of the other day to day things. Other than that he is such a sweet boy. He is talking up a storm, his favorite words right now are: gatorade, daddy, baby, wherediditgo?, and there it is.

Tatum is getting so big! She is smiling and is sleeping really well at night now. Thank goodness! Pat and I were getting a little sleep deprived for about a month and never thought she was going to sleep more than an hour at a time at night.
