same age cousins

Last Monday, Suzanne came over with her kiddos. It is so nice because Ty and Addison are the same age and so is Tatum and Scarlett. They played so well together, it was actually a very relaxing play date.

Any time I take out the camera Tatum does her crooked smile and scrunched up face, I love it! I didn't realize how much bigger Tatum is than Scarlett until after I was looking at these pictures. They are only 3 weeks apart and Tatum looks huge compared to her.

Ty was so excited to carve pumpkins tonight. He loved scooping all the pumpkin guts out and he would give Pat and I great words of encouragement as we were carving his pumpkins. He wanted one pumpkin with a happy face and one with a cross face. Tatum enjoyed the pumpkin carving for about 2 minutes. She is sick so she just wanted me to hold her the whole time.

The pumpkin on the left is the one I carved. When I went to push out the mouth, some of the teeth that I carved came out too. So it wasn't quite the look I was going for but Ty didn't care. Pat did the "cross" pumpkin on the right. It's pretty good for Pat's first pumpkin carving.

He doesn't care

He doesn't care. He doesn't even get bothered. Do you wonder what I am talking about? It's Ty and potty training! We put him in underwear and he will go potty with some bribery and then he will refuse to go and pee in his unders and pants and not care. Then he will tell us that he peed on the floor. I thought for sure that he would hate his unders being wet because he freaks out if anything else is wet but no, doesn't care about the unders. So, the potty training has a taken a few steps forward and then a few more steps back. I should just stop worrying so much about it and just let it happen...I guess.

Tatum loves her baths. Loves them. Now she spends the whole time "wimmin." I tell her that it times to be done and she tells me no and that she is swimming. How can I take her out of the tub when she is dang cute?

We had our family pictures taken on Saturday and the kids did pretty well. Because it was so nice outside we were able to do the pictures at a park. Then on Sunday morning we went to the pumpkin patch again but I am so bummed I didn't bring my camera. We ran into a lot of friends there and we met up with Lianna, Xavier and Harper. Ty had a great time again and we couldn't get Tatum off the train!

There is only one way to eat an O-R-E-O!

Last Monday Tatum woke up from her nap early and she caught me in the middle of eating some oreos. I gave her one and she saw that I was dipping mine in milk and she had to do the same. She wouldn't take a bite of her oreo until she had dipped it in milk. I tried to explain to her that she had to keep the oreo completely submerged in the milk until the bubbles stopped to get the perfect softness but she had her own style. Dip, bite, dip, bite, dip and bite!

We had my parents and my sister's family up for dinner on Saturday. It is so much fun when we get together, the cousins just LOVE playing with each other.

Tatum tried so hard to get the tooth pick out of my dad's mouth. But seriously, what's up with old people and having their tooth picks after dinner? Yes dad, I called you OLD!
